- "Do you have any pheromone perfumes?"
(This is a question that always surprises me!)
- “Um, do you think you’re a butterfly?” I want to answer…
It's true that internet searches with keywords #seductionperfumes, #pheromoneperfumes are exploding! As if perfumes, musks, or other aphrodisiac oils could play this role of devastating charm... 2 sprays and presto! You're going to find the love of your life!
Seriously ?...
Good little reminder, pheromones, what are they? They are a chemical substance emitted by animals (and certain plants) to communicate with each other. In particular, they allow females to attract males. So yes, for those who have the right receptors (the vomeronasal organ), the substance is very active and very powerful. It can be detected from miles away. Except that in humans, the organ is atrophied… Kaput… Dead.
So sorry to bust a myth but science tends to refute the possibility of pheromones having any effect on humans… (you might be able to attract a dog at best?)
On the other hand, good news: sensual, gourmand, addictive, even torrid perfumes, yes, they exist, and they work very well! You only have to see the immediate reactions when you offer a touch to some... It's love at first sight!
Do you want to test?
Come see us at the Bureau du Parfum, we don't have perfumes for butterflies, but we do have perfumes for fluttering!
