Olibanum is an independent perfume house founded in 2021 by Gérald Ghislain, the passionate creator behind the Histoires de Parfums brand. With Olibanum, he goes against traditional storytelling to return to the very essence of perfume: the raw material.
It is frankincense, a sacred and ancient resin, that becomes the olfactory signature of the house. Harvested from the Boswellia tree, frankincense is at the heart of every creation. All fragrances in the collection contain Somalian frankincense, extracted using supercritical CO₂, a process that respects the environment and the olfactory qualities of the raw resin.
Olibanum advocates a simple, clear, and sincere perfumery, where each accord is built around a main ingredient interacting with frankincense. Minimalist formulas, but never bland. Accessible, powerful, and recognizable creations, designed for those who love to smell without telling a story.
