Ferns
The fern smells of nothing! But where does this name come from? Fougère Royal by Houbigant, a magnificent perfume from 1882. A time when men perfumed themselves relatively little; and when they did, it was with relatively simple cologne or lavender notes. Fougère Royale was the first sophisticated and complex perfume offered to men. Its construction around the key ingredients: lavender, geranium, vetiver, oak moss and Tonka bean gives that feeling of a man "just out of the shower, and clean shaven".
Since then, the perfume has given its name to this typical architecture with its English barbershop accents.
