The name gourmand appeared in 1992 with Angel by Thierry Mugler, famous for its notes of cotton candy and caramel. Today it refers to perfumes that use these food and sweet notes: chocolate, coffee, caramel, candy and that go beyond the vanilla note found in the amber family. The goal of these perfumes is to make us salivate, and trigger addiction.
