"There is something very generous and lively about Charlotte's installations. Even if the eye perceives nothing, the impression of movement is strong. Algae proliferate and seem to crawl over the structures.
I wanted to capture this idea of vivacity, by making the notions of abundance and natural invasion coexist, in a fragrance that I wanted to be reassuring and enveloping.
The first accord I created was born from this encounter between algae and life. The Pure Jungle Essence red algae, iodized, woody, with a mossy facet, provides a humid side, while immortelle confers a resinous warmth. The earthy dimension is brought by geosmin – which gives its smell to the soil after rain – and vetiver with woody, smoky and salty nuances. The comforting, human aspect of the composition is supported by musks and a touch of abstract floral notes." Julie Massé
