During her meeting with Paul Vacher, perfumer and owner of Le Galion, he was captivated and asked Ava to become the ambassador and muse for Sortilège, a perfume evoking the extravagant evenings of the era and which became the olfactory signature of high society in the fifties. Following the success of this collaboration, Ava Gardner asked Paul Vacher for a bespoke creation, imagined especially for her. The perfumer, holding feminine distinction in high esteem, gladly complied and composed the fragrance that would become L’ASTRE.

In 2022, Le Galion unveiled L'Astre to the public, a contemporary reinterpretation of a formula that had remained private for decades. Developed in collaboration with the Ava Gardner Foundation and her heirs who granted access to their archives, L'ASTRE captures and symbolizes the brilliance of these two great names of the 20th century, whose influence continues to this day.
