L'Âme Perdue is inspired by one of Paul Vacher's first creations for Lanvin in 1928. Named Lost Soul, it was likely composed in memory of a lost love. Paul Vacher made it a perfume that matched his sensitivity and had an extraordinary personality. In 2018, Rodrigo Flores-Roux took this idea to create this opulent vanilla chypre.
