With energy heightened by an irrepressible desire for freedom, Eau Folle generously and exuberantly projects the vibrancy of a bouquet of beneficial aromatics with spicy, green, and herbaceous facets. Toning and stimulating, the top notes build in power before giving way to a base of damp and diffusive woods that extend their freshness. All in a concentration never before seen for this olfactory family: 25%!
After the Second World War, many perfumes sought to bring a sense of well-being and relief to the population. By combining fresh and luminous notes with more tenacious and rich base accords, these creations were later dubbed "eaux fraîches" (fresh waters). Paul Vacher, the iconic Le Galion perfumer, was among the first to work with this olfactory style, and in 1953, he presented Whip, a delicious concoction of citrus contrasting with an aromatic heart and a chypre and woody base. Over the years, he continued to revisit his own collection in lighter versions. Borrowing its name from an iconic 1970s creation that is now discontinued, Eau Folle is launched in 2024 and pays tribute to Paul Vacher's famous fresh waters, in a contemporary style with endless longevity.
