Paul Vacher knew a thing or two about leather: in the early 1960s, Christian Dior commissioned him to create a conquering and haughty women's fragrance. The perfumer composed what would become Diorling, a leathery chypre. Earlier in his career, he also co-created Lanvin's Scandal, a dark leather scent.
In homage to these 20th-century monuments, Le Galion created Cuir, a robustly elegant fragrance, oscillating between emancipated femininity and demonstrative masculinity.
